Remember 9/11 Candlelight Vigil

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah

The MSA, as well as UConn UCC, College Republicans and the Hillel are going to hold a candle light event in front of the main entrance of the library on Fairfield road, at 7:00pm tonight. Please be there to express your feelings towards the victims of the 9/11 attack and help dissociate Islam and the Muslim community from this tragedy.

As 9/11 continues to influence the life of each and every of us until today,  our strong presence at such an event is NOT optional.  Be there at 7:00pm tonight and prepare something to share with the crowd, i.e. a poem, a personal statement, etc. In shaa Allah, we will pray Maghrib in Jama'a (congregation) there, so don't worry about missing the prayer.

ARE MSA AS MUSLIMS ALLOWED TO SIMULATE CHRISTIANS IN THEIR RELIGION AND DEAD OR FUNERAL FORMS!  Truth was said from Rasool Allah about this when he said this nation will imitate or following  Jews and Christians, even if they will enter a cave of lizard you will enter it.
 
From a HADITH - I don't know if it is an authentic or NOT- narrated about the PROPHET action when he saw Funeral (Janazah) of a Jews person, He was setting then He stood up as a kind of respect for that Funeral, the companions of prophets asked him , O'h prophet this a Jews, then he replied it is a soul.
 
So, from that Hadith participation of Muslims as Representatives of Allah's religion  in such events has to be limited to what is allowed.
