On Nov 18th, Jeffery Peck wrote a letter to the Daily Campus that severely criticized the news article published earlier on Nov 10th. the lecture given by Ms. Goldstein. Mr. Peck claimed that MSA regretted inviting Ms. Goldstein, which sounded like a flat-out lie. Peck then deliberately misused terms like "Occupied Territories" and "International Law" against common sense, just to prove his point of view. Peck also tried to deny Palestinian suffering although numerous Human Rights organizations  reported severe violations by the Israeli occupation force. Faisal Kashem wrote a detailed reply to expose the facts. Peck's letter is provided below for reference.

Goldstein’s Speech: The Other Side of the Coin!

<!--StartFragment -->    We understand that the Palestinian issue is sensitive, and we welcome objective criticism. However, the letter sent by Danielle Selber, the Hillel Student Board Secretary,  on Nov. 14th to the Daily Campus raised some issues that required MSA to clarify the facts.

Ms. Goldstein is an Israeli citizen critical of the Israeli government policies towards the Palestinians. Goldstein supported her presentation by facts either witnessed personally or reported officially by the Israeli government. Goldstein had very good reasons to compare Israel to apartheid South Africa; she had lived in South Africa during the period of apartheid and knows what she is talking about.

On Thursday, Nov 10th, the Daily Campus published an article on our lecture. The article missed the important facts that the speaker was trying to communicate, such as: (a) the intent and effect of the wall that not only separates Palestinians from Israel but at some locations separates Palestinians from Palestinians, and (b) land grabbed by Israel (.09%) while the world watched Israeli settlers evacuated from Gaza strip, by Israeli army, with the Palestinians gaining (.085%) of the land. Instead, the article focused more on the emotional nature of the debate rather than the facts Goldstein used to support her both rational and humane viewpoint.
