Assalamu Alaikum dear brothers and sisters,
This Friday, a new MSA board for Fall'06-Spring'07 will be elected, inshaa Allah. Nominations should be sent to the MSA advisor, Prof. Reda Ammar (reda at engr.uconn.edu). All Muslim students are invited to serve Allah (subhanahu wa ta'aalaa) and the Muslim student body by nominating sincere and capable board members (including themselves) for the next year. The nominees will be contacted to make sure they accept the responsibility. The list of nominees will be made available right after Jumu'a prayer at 1:45pm. The elected board will then meet during next week to choose the individual roles of its members according to the constitution and to plan for the upcoming year.
Remember always that the main purpose of the MSA is to please Allah subhanahu wa ta'aalaa through
- strengthenning brotherhood relations between Muslim students,
- facilitating the practicing of Islam as a way of life to Muslim students, and
- providing a better understanding of Islam to the community in general
Don't forget to pray to Allah to give GUIDANCE and TAWFEEQ to the upcoming MSA board and to ALL Muslims.
